TMI: Too Much Information
Emmenbrücke, 2023
A frequent online expression, indicating unnecessary information that is too personal, making recipients uncomfortable.
The project confronted people in public spaces with installations and performances that spoke to their personal boundaries and social norms regarding which private matters are appropriate to publicize, provoking feelings of curiosity, annoyance, disgust or indifference. It is a critique of the banality that can arise from excess information in certain contexts. The oversized phone model serves as a bridge between online and physical public spaces.
